{mosimage}SPACE, a SPectroscopic All-sky Cosmic Explorer space experiment designed to uncover the nature of the misterious [[dark_energy|dark energy]], has just been selected by ESA as a candidate mission for the «Cosmic Vision 2015-2025» program. The heart of SPACE is an optical system based on [[Digital_Micromirror_Device|DMD (Digital Micromirror Devices)]], the same technology used in video-projectors and digital cinemas. Millions of microsocpic mirrors will be oriented, one-by-one, to select galaxies in the sky: it is like opening only the windows where light can enter and close all the others.
